Intuitive Art in Nature Series: Element Earth
Join us as we honor the element of Earth. Blending earth, art, and ceremony within a forest setting creates a powerful space for healing, grounding, or transition. You will receive a small journal to take notes in throughout the day, journal prompts, and a gift bag.
Opening Ceremony 1:00-1:30pm
Meet your fellow retreat goers and healing facilitators for the day. Jenny will provide an overview of the day’s activities, set intentions, while creating a sacred space for all to learn, explore, and heal on the soul level. Participate in an energetic attunement. Bring an open mind and allow yourself to journey within, through the planned immersive experiences. Sound cleansing and sacred smoke will be used in the ceremony.
Intuitive Painting Under the Silver Maple Tree: 1:30-3:30pm
Work with elemental and nature energy to connect in with the earth and the trees. Get inspired under the Silver Maple Tree during a guided meditation to deepen the connection, then create a painting that represents your experience or your connection to nature. Guided prompts can be given or create what you are experiencing in nature. (All supplies will be included: canvas, easels, brushes, and paint.)
Break: 3:30-4:00pm
Take time to walk the grounds. Spend time in the gazebo, the forest paths, or on the rainbow bridge. Drinks and Snacks served in Alchemy Speakeasy.
Create a Japanese Wish Tree at Serenity Forest 4:00-5:00pm
We will be creating a Wish Tree on the property. A Japanese wish tree is traditionally decorated with handwritten wishes, used during the Tanabata festival to send hopes and dreams to the stars. The Tanabata, Star Festival, celebrates the annual meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi every July. During this time, wishes will be written on colorful strips of paper called Tanzaku that have their own color and frequency. You can write down personal goals, gratitude, or hopes for others, also.
Wish Tree Decorating and Ceremony w/Blue Lotus Tea 5:00-6:00pm
People write their personal hopes and prayers on the paper and tie them to the branches, trusting the tree to carry their dreams to the heavens. We will carry our wishes to the tree and have a ceremony to honor the wish tree and place our wishes across it’s branches. Guests will be able to tie their wishes to the branches of the tree, which will be left to flutter in the breeze at Serenity Forest. Sacred sound and smoke will be used during this ceremony.
Guests will return to the present after a day of learning and exploring their connection to nature. Jenny will lead a closing ceremony to release old patterns, beliefs, or energy that no longer serve us. As we reflect on the day, discuss how our connection to the earth has grown today and what energy we can continue to work with. We will close our sacred space, integrate the lessons of the day, and identify ways to commune with nature. Guests will be able to transfer this knowledge into their daily practice.
